PARISH NOTICES: THOSE ADULTS WISHING TO BE BAPTISED OR RECEIVED INTO THE CHURCH MEET ON WEDNESDAY EVENINGS AT 7PM.

Last weekend we had exposition of the bl;essed sacrament in preparation for the feast of blessed john duns scotus. Regretfully, very few took this opportunity of praying in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament which is not encouraging to have a weekly exposition. We also had the Parish census which again, regretfully, was down in numbers from last year. every mass time showing a decrease. What is happening in our parish?



GENERAL PARISH MEETING
On Monday 14th November at 7.30 pm we will have a meeting of the Parish to which all Parishioners are invited. This meeting will be an opportunity for us to reflect on a full year of using the renewed Church and to hear constructive comments about it. It will also give us the opportunity to look at our Parish and to see what we can do for greater involvement of all in line with a new Pastoral directive on “The New Evangelisation” and also using the new translation of the Mass. Particularly invited are our YOUNGER PARISHIONERS because YOU are the Church of tomorrow and we want to involve YOU in any new projects.

Fr Antony Jukes: who is our Vocations Promoter, is holding a “Come and See” weekend for men between the ages of 18-40 who are interested in the Franciscan way of life and seek an opportunity to consider more deeply the possibility of a vocation to this way of life. The weekend will be from Friday 16th December to Sunday 18th December. Contact him at his email address vocations@friar.org or speak to one of the friars here about it. It will be held at Cold Ash Centre in Berkshire.
